Thor - No longer my baby
Name: Thor
Gender: Male Breed: Mix Adopted- December 2013 Birthday(approx): Dec 2011 Thor decided he was bonded to my friend's daughter. He wouldn't eat unless around her even. They were seeking a dog to be an emotional support for her, and I finally gave in and let Thor fill that need. I miss him, but he is the happiest pup in the world now <3 Thor is my second real doggy. He came into the shelter where I work as a Hit By Car stray. It turns out the people dropping him off were actually his real owners. They lied, and abandoned him with us, wanting to avoid any fees (vet or owner surrender). He lost his Left eye to the car, but otherwise recovered perfectly. Thor is easily 3 times the weight of my dachshund, and yet she pushes him around with a tap of her nose. He is excitable, has springs in his toes, and can't turn down the chance to chase anything that runs. He suffers from mild separation anxiety, and is incredibly talented with opening locks and escaping his crate. When this occurs, Nothing is safe o-o Thor is incredibly intelligent and picks up on new behaviors almost instantly. He currently knows Sit, Stay, Load up (car and crate), lay down, crawl, roll over, sit pretty, shuffle (walk backwards on hind feet), and wait. His recall is now AMAZING. He can go offleash at the horse rescue. Trimming his nails makes him scream like a baby, even before you touch his feet. He eats the doggy toothpaste before I can even start brushing his teeth. He prefers to eat from Toph's bowl, even though it's smaller. She is ok with the switch. |
